Abuse and Neglect

Whitbeck & Cisneros’ attorneys are experienced in cases where parents are accused of abuse and/or neglect of their children. Our attorneys have dealt with these types of cases which not only involve physical and mental abuse allegations, but also allegations of sexual abuse. Like criminal cases involving the same issues, civil abuse and neglect cases have tremendous consequences, most notably the removal of children from the home of their parents. These high stakes make the necessity of competent representation even more important. Our attorneys have experience in dealing with local Departments of Social Services (Child Protective Services), guardians ad litem and most if not all of the other professionals who participate in these cases.
